19th Ave SE/232nd St SE/23rd Ave SE Non-Motorized Improvements Project

The project is in its preliminary design phase.


This project will consist of three sidewalk segments and bicycle improvements along:

1) West side of the 19th Ave SE between 228th St SE and 232nd St SE
2) North side of the 232nd St SE between 19th Ave SE and 20th Ave SE
3) East side of the 23rd Ave SE between a newly constructed sidewalk and 236th St SE.

The proposed improvements include installing sidewalk, ADA ramps, bike lane, pedestrian crosswalks, traffic calming devices such as Rectangular Rapid Flash Beacons (RRFBs) and pedestrian crosswalk flags.


Funding for this project will include Safe Streets & Sidewalks levy dollars, a federal Safe Routes to School grant, and a Complete Streets award from the Transportation Improvement Board.
