Fire Systems & Fire Watches

When a building's fire alarm system stops functioning for some reason, the Fire Marshal's Office must be notified immediately and a fire watch may be required. A fire watch is a person dedicated to monitoring a building or area at risk of fire. This could be when hot work is being performed, the alarm system has failed, or during an emergency. See our FAQ section below for details on notification procedures.
