Small Business Grants
Bothell businesses who have been negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, may be eligible for City of Bothell's Small Business Stabilization Grant or Commercial Rent Relief Grant. Continue reading to see if you are eligible today.
Applications will be accepted until March 25, 2022.
In October 2021, City Council approved $500,000 for small business stabilization grants. We encourage small businesses that meet the following eligibility and criteria to apply.
Eligibility
To qualify for the Small Business Stabilization Grant, eligible businesses must:
- Be a business in the hospitality, food and beverage, personal services, or healthcare sector.
- Have been impacted by COVID-19 and the related health and safety restrictions, such as business interruptions or closures incurred because of the pandemic.
- Have a Unified Business Identifier (UBI) number.
- Have an active City of Bothell Business License.
- Be in compliance with all federal, state and city laws and regulations.
- Submit one application per business, address, Unified Business Identifier (UBI) number an/or
City Business License number.
Location
- Be located in Bothell city limits.
- Have no more than one location in the City of Bothell.
Size
- Have up to 20 full-time equivalent employees.
- Be a sole proprietor, C-Corporation, S-corporation, cooperative, limited liability company, partnership or limited partnership, with an annual revenue of up to two million dollars ($2,000,000), but a least one thousand dollars ($1,000).
Operations
- Be currently open and active for business
- Began operating prior to October 19, 2019.
Revenue Loss and Grant Amounts
- Have an annual net loss totaling or exceeding the grant amount applied for.
- Show revenue loss for any period between March 1, 2020 and January 31, 2022.
Based on information in grant application, grants will be issued to qualifying businesses in an amount not to exceed $10,000 per business. The City of Bothell may choose to give full or partial funding of the requested amount at its sole discretion.
