Parks & Recreation
The Parks & Recreation Department enhances the quality of life for the Bothell community by providing high quality parks, trails, community gathering places, public art, and events with a strong emphasis on customer service and safety.
Parks & Trails
The City Bothell Parks & Recreation Department services 400 acres of parkland and open space that include family-friendly trail systems, playgrounds, athletic fields, community parks, picnic shelters, sports courts, and historic facilities. To learn more about our parks and trails, visit here.
Park Hours of Operation
All parks and trails are open from dawn to dusk unless otherwise posted at the park.
The Sammamish River and Burke Gilman Trails, managed by King County Natural Resources, run through the City of Bothell along the Sammamish River. The trails extend from Marymoor Park in Redmond to the Hiram M. Chittenden Locks in Seattle. Access the King County Trails online.
The Parks Department hosts community events each year, including the 4th of July Parade, Summer Nights in Bothell, Trick-or-Treat on Main Street, Arbor Day, and the Winter Porch Light Parade.

The City of Bothell's Parks & Recreation manages three athletic fields; Cedar Grove Sportsfield, Doug Allen Sportsfields, and North Creek Sportsfields. These fields are suitable for seasonal, recreational, and tournament play for softball, baseball, soccer, lacrosse, and more. To learn more about these facilities, please click here.
Within our park system, we offer picnic shelter rentals at Blyth Park, Cedar Grove Park, and Centennial Park. Depending on the park location, there are select options between small and large shelters. For more information regarding rental rates, capacity limits, availability, and associated amenities with our picnic shelter rentals, please visit our online reservation service.
Reservations for our picnic shelters can be made online through our reservation software. We require a minimum of 5 days' notice for picnic shelter rentals. Available dates and times will be viewable through our reservation service; if the date/time you chose does not populate to reserve, the shelter is already booked.
