We use the Public Records Act, along with other sections of the Revised Code of Washington, city and county code, and case law to determine what information can be released when we receive a public records request.
To receive a copy of a public police record, please use the online form or Police Records Requests form (PDF) to submit your written request in person. You may submit your request in person, by fax, or email. You may be required to pick up a report in person and present photo ID. The basic fee for a report is $4 for the first 5 pages. Each additional page will be $0.15 per page. If you are the victim of a crime or an involved party in a traffic accident there is no charge. For more information contact the Records Section at 425-487-5120.
