Bothell Police has arrested one man, age 25, and is investigating a homicide - after a 29 year old male victim was pronounced dead in the 19000 block of 112th Ave NE, on the evening of Sunday, April 25.
Just before 7:30pm, several people called Bothell 911. Callers stated that a person had been stabbed.
Within moments, a Bothell Police officer arrived at the scene and attempted life-saving procedures as medics made their way to the scene. Within minutes, other Bothell Police officers arrived and were able to quickly located the suspect, who was then arrested without incident. Unfortunately, the victim's life could not be saved.
The man arrested remains in custody. Bothell Police is not pursuing any other suspects in this case.
UPDATE: 12:17pm Monday, 4/26: Bothell Police is continuing to investigate all possible motives. We understand that many people have questions and concerns. While we have very limited additional information to share at this time, we would like to assure our community that we are devoting all possible resources to this case, and take it very seriously.
At this stage, Bothell Police has already taken several witness statements, and identified ten possible witnesses. It is very likely that many other possible witnesses will be identified in the coming days. It is important that our investigators take this time to locate and listen to all witnesses and examine all evidence.
