Barricaded Suspect Arrested, Without Injury

Officer stands beside several police vehicles in Bothell neighborhood

On at 11:20pm, Tuesday, August 16 Bothell Police arrested a 22-year old male suspect in the 20500 block of 32nd Drive SE.  The suspect was booked on Rape of a Child, 1st Degree.
The suspect, who is not a Bothell resident, had been barricaded inside a small trailer, for nearly seven hours after being notified that officers had a warrant for his arrest.
After hours of attempts to negotiate with the suspect, he was ultimately taken into custody without injury.
He will likely face additional charges from at least three counties in Washington state.

Bothell Police would like to thank the Cascade Vista neighborhood for their patience, cooperation and support for our officers during the hours-long incident.
