Capital Improvement Projects

Main Street Enhancement

Big changes are underway on Main Street! Construction on the first part of the enhancement project is near completion. The block between Bothell Way NE and 101st Ave NE was reopened to vehicular traffic in mid-December. Crews are working hard to finish replacing the roadway and sidewalks on the second block between 101st Ave NE and 102nd Ave NE.

Major construction should be completed near the end of February. Completion of smaller project elements such as landscaping and bench installation should wrap up this spring. Get more information about the Main Street Enhancement project.

228th Street SE & 29th Drive SE Improvements

Improvements to the intersection at 228th Street SE and 29th Drive SE were completed in early November. Upgrades to this busy intersection include the installation of a new traffic signal and American with Disabilities Act (ADA) improvements to the sidewalk ramps. The completion of this project should help reduce congestion on SR 527 by offering an alternative route to the Canyon Park Business Center.
