Slurry seal application

Safe Streets & Sidewalks

City staff are ready to kick off several Safe Streets & Sidewalks Levy-funded projects this spring. One of the bigger projects that will begin in the northwest part of the City is preparation work for a special type of pavement preservation known as a slurry seal. To learn more about the slurry seal and other pavement projects, check out our Pavement Preservation Program.

Next month we’ll take a closer look at crack sealing as contractors begin this annual preventive maintenance work throughout the City.

Capital Improvement Projects

Main Street Enhancement

The weather is clearing up, and Main Street is looking less like a construction site and more like an urban hotspot each day. Roadway paving is mostly completed while work on the intersections continues. The sidewalks have all been poured and pavers are currently being installed at crosswalks. Last week, the contractor added some greenery in the planters on both blocks.  Much of the work left to do is weather-dependent, so keep an eye on Main Street Traffic Alerts for the most current information on traffic impacts.

Promontory Point Sewer Repair

Work on a replacement sewer has been completed in the Promontory West subdivision. This project provides a permanent sanitary sewer replacement for affected homes after the previous sewer main was damaged by landslides. The contractor is finishing site restoration, which is dependent on weather, and expects the project to be finished later this spring.

Visit the Promontory Point Sewer Repair Project Page for additional project details.
