Thank you for your interest in receiving information regarding current and future public safety services and potential solutions for closing the gap between service needs and capacity. This update summarizes recent City Council activities and next steps, and highlights how you can get more information.

City Council meetings on public safety

The City Council continues to review and assess current and future public safety needs and resources. Recent and upcoming Council meetings on the topic include:

  • May 8th  meeting: Councilmembers were briefed on facilities needs at the City’s three fire stations and operational needs in Police, Court, and support departments. Watch the discussion  and get meeting materials (PDF).
