228th St. SE Pavement Overlay Project

The 228th St. SE Pavement Overlay Project is underway and the utility manhole and valve lids have been lowered to prepare for upcoming asphalt removal.

There will be traffic impacts between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. through October. Paving is scheduled at night. However, work is dependent upon the weather and contractor schedule. Schedule adjustments are anticipated to work around forecasted rainfall. Check the traffic impacts page for details.

Truck Street Sweeping

Street Sweeping

Fall is here and the Public Works Storm division has started sweeping the city streets seven days a week with two sweepers.

Street sweeping seven days a week during autumn helps prevent street flooding caused by leaves. The City has 12 sweeping zones. It is our goal to sweep each zone once a month and more in the fall. We prioritize where we send our sweepers by checking how much debris is on the ground.

Stay Tuned...

Next month, stay tuned for information about the Customer Action Request (CAR) and how it can help you with the upcoming storm season.
