In accordance with Governor Jay Inslee’s Safe Start reopening strategy, effective June 1, 2020, fire system confidence testing and repairs can recommence.
Occupancies that were due for annual testing from March 15 to May 31, 2020, will be granted a three-month extension. For example: if annual sprinkler testing was due 03/29/20, the new due date is 06/29/30. Incomplete tests will not be accepted as compliant confidence testing.
Occupancies with testing due prior to and after the exclusion period related to COVID-19, do not receive an extension and are considered overdue and noncompliant.
Occupancies not allowing testing due to extenuating circumstances such as health or elderly facilities may apply for an exception. The building owner or representative can make this request by emailing the following information to crr@bothellwa.gov:
- Building Name
- Building Address
- Property owner/management contact
- Email and phone number
- Description of challenge to testing
