Fire Prevention Month

Fire Prevention Month, Family Activities

October is Fire Prevention Month and we have a few fun activities planned for the whole family. Those who participate will be mailed a prize, and will have the chance to win an engine drive by! See the details below.

Sparky the Fire Dog

Activity #1, Show Sparky Your Meeting Place

It's important for every family to have a home fire escape plan! Watch Sparky's ABCs of Fire Safety Video. Next print, cut and color Sparky the Fire Dog. Once Sparky is complete, snap a photo of him at your family meeting place. A meeting place should be outside, a safe distance away from your house.

Activity #2, Complete the Family Scavenger Hunt

Print out the Scavenger Hunt Checklist and complete it as a family. Take photos of Sparky along the way!

How to Receive Your Prize

Once you have completed activities #1 and #2, email your photos and Scavenger Hunt Checklist to fireeducation@bothellwa.gov. Please include your name, your child's name, your address and your phone number in the body of the email. This will allow us to mail you your prize, and to call you if you win an engine drive by. You can take a photo of your completed checklist rather than scanning the document. Submissions must be emailed by Friday, October 30th.

Mailed prizes include a fire badge sticker, fire pencil, a special note from Bothell Fire and free, reusable masks. Thank you for joining us this Fire Prevention Month!
