Registering your car seat allows the manufacturer to notify you if there is a safety recall. It's also important to be wary of used car seats. Do not purchase a used car seat unless you know the previous owner and the complete history of the car seat. A used car seat is unsafe it has been in a crash, has missing parts or missing labels.
