Capital Facilities Plan Update

Funding makes projects become reality

CFP updated every two years

The City Council adopts an updated Capital Facilities Plan (CFP) every two years (Resolution 1183 (PDF)). This plan prioritizes how the City spends money on Facilities, Parks and Open Spaces, Transportation, Water Utility, Storm Utility, and Sewer Utility projects. Projects have been identified as priorities and typically are at least partially funded.

2023-2029

The CFP was updated in Fall 2022. New projects added to the CFP during this update will be programmed for 2024 or 2025. Projects are drawn from existing plans, including the Imagine Bothell Comprehensive Plan (Page TR-21 and TR-22), Canyon Park Subarea Plan, Downtown Subarea Plan (Page 22), Wastewater Comprehensive Plan (Chapter 8), 2021 Storm and Surface Water Master Plan Update, and PROS Plan 2020 (Page 99).

TIP updated every year

The City Council adopts a revised Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) every year, consisting of transportation projects only. Public comment for the CFP also is incorporated into the TIP.
