Water Quality Monitoring Program

Small fish measured Opens in new windowWater quality monitoring is an important aspect of City of Bothell's surface water program. The City currently conducts two types of monitoring:

  • Fecal coliform bacteria monitoring for North and Swamp Creek
  • Long-term habitat and living organisms monitoring for local streams

What do we monitor for?

We typically monitor for fecal coliform, E. coli, bacteria, pH, dissolved oxygen, temperature, stream flows, nitrate/total nitrogen, phosphate, and benthic macroinvertebrates.
