Water quality monitoring is an important aspect of City of Bothell's surface water program. The City currently conducts two types of monitoring:
- Fecal coliform bacteria monitoring for North and Swamp Creek
- Long-term habitat and living organisms monitoring for local streams
What do we monitor for?
We typically monitor for fecal coliform, E. coli, bacteria, pH, dissolved oxygen, temperature, stream flows, nitrate/total nitrogen, phosphate, and benthic macroinvertebrates.
