What we've been up to
The City is teeming with construction activity these days. Here are some of the recent Capital Improvement Projects we've completed.

4th Ave. West Sidewalk
This project constructs a raised concrete sidewalk along the west side of 4th Ave. between 219th Pl. SW and 220th St. SW. The project includes extending the curb, adding one ADA (American Disabilities Act) compliant curb ramp, and one raised concrete island.

228th Street SE & 29th Drive SE Improvements
This project creates a new traffic signal and related intersection improvements to help the flow of entering and exiting traffic at the Canyon Park Business Park.

ADA Curb Ramps
This project provided ADA-compliant upgrades and installations of curb ramps in various locations in the City.

Asphalt Patching
Where arterial asphalt is aging, patching can extend its lifespan. This involves grinding old pavement and paving.

Beardslee Blvd Pavement Overlay
The Beardslee Blvd. Paving Overlay Project proposes to overlay Beardslee Blvd. between Sunrise Dr. and NE 185th Street, and partially reconstruct the pavement section from NE 185th St to 110th Ave NE with hot mix asphalt (HMA).

Bothell Corridor & Citywide Safety Projects
These federally funded projects provided safety improvements at various locations throughout the City.

Bothell-Everett Hwy & 228th St SE
This project reconfigured the intersection at Bothell-Everett Highway and 228th St SE in Canyon Park, to enhance traffic safety and operations.

Crack Sealing
This project involves sealing cracks in the roadway throughout Bothell.

Downtown Utility Projects
This project replaced and improved various utilities at several downtown locations.

Horse Creek Improvements
The project replaced the existing Horse Creek pipe with a hybrid open-channel/culvert system along 98th Ave NE.

Lift Station Number 3
This project reconstructs an existing sanitary sewer lift station on the south side of the Sammamish River.

Main Street Enhancement
This project integrates the historic district with the planned overall development of public spaces in the downtown area.

Multiway Boulevard
Pedestrians can now cross back and forth easily between historic downtown on the east side of Bothell Way and the newly developing west side.

Penn Park Reservoir Replacement
Penn Park's potable water reservoir was replaced with a larger tank to increase its storage capacity.

Promontory Point Sewer Repair
This project constructs a permanent sanitary sewer replacement for affected homes in the Promontory West subdivision.

Sammamish River Off-Channel Habitat Restoration
This project reconnected and restored 1,100 feet of an old remnant channel and floodplain of the Sammamish River.

SR 522 Stage 1
This project was designed to relieve congestion on SR 522 at the 96th Ave NE intersection.

SR 522 Stage 2
This part of the project includes two sections of SR 522, which adjoin each end of the Stage 1 project. Stage 2A is finished, and Stage 2B is being designed.
