Police are seeking help from the public to identify a Hit and Run driver who fled the scene of a collision on Monday, May 10th at 8:07 AM at the intersection of 4th AVE W and 216th ST SW.
The suspect vehicle failed to stop at the posted stop sign as it traveled eastbound on 216th ST SW as the victim was driving northbound on 4th AVE W. This caused the victim vehicle to collide into the side of the suspect.
The suspect vehicle turned and traveled northbound on 4th AVE W for a few hundred feet and pulled to the side of the road. The suspect driver (believed to be a male) got out of the vehicle momentarily before getting back in the car and fleeing the scene northbound.
When the accident occurred, the victim vehicle was occupied by the male driver and his toddler son. There were no reported injuries.
The suspect vehicle is a black (or charcoal) colored passenger vehicle, possibly a 2001-2003 Lexus IS300.
It is possible the suspect driver lives in the Queensborough Neighborhood and/or leaves for work during this time frame. There is no other suspect information at this time.
