Community Representatives are a very important part of the Snohomish County Multiple Agency Response Team.

Did you know Bothell residents can apply?

SMART is an independent team of trained investigators, evidence technicians, records specialists, and public information officers from various Snohomish County law enforcement agencies, including Bothell Police and Washington State Patrol - who respond to and investigate police use-of-force incidents. SMART also has five non-law enforcement community representatives.

Bothell Police has been an active member of SMART since 1997.  We believe in and encourage the participation of the community representatives.

Here's a link to the SMART Non-Law Enforcement Community Representative application.  While the five positions are currently filled, applications are always encouraged and accepted, so they can be considered as positions become vacant.

We also encourage you to learn more about SMART's current community representatives, and how the Snohomish County Multiple Agency Response Team works.
