[ARCHIVED] City Hall Expects to Reopen for In-Person Services Early Sept

City Hall

As you know, City Hall and some other facilities have been closed since March 2020 and we all worked together to successfully deliver key services online. During this time, Staff has reimagined what city services should and could look like post-COVID, having learned that our community prefers both convenient online and in-person options.  With vaccinations rates increasing and easing of many restrictions, the City of Bothell has started a phased transition to full, hybrid meetings and in-person services.

August :  In-Person Service by Appointments Only

  • Staff start to phase back into facilities and workspaces, based on department needs and guidance
  • City Hall customer lobby and most services remain virtual, and we encourage the public to use online services where possible
  • If desired or necessary, some in-person services are being scheduled by appointment
  • Some offices and staff are hosting small in-person meetings with members of the public, based on size, location, function, and work group needs
  • Council does not meet during recess, most Board/Commission meetings remain virtual, but can be in-person

Sept 7:   Appointments, Walk In Service and Hybrid Meetings

  • City Hall, workspaces and all facilities will be open with new hybrid service model, (barring any changes or restrictions from State or County agencies)
  • City Hall Lobby - open to walk in customers Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8am to 5pm  (Monday and Friday by appointments only)
  • Police Lobby – open to walk in customers
  • Prescription drug disposal and ride-alongs at the Police Department resume
  • Council meetings and most Board and Commission meetings will be hybrid meetings, meaning public can opt to participate virtually or attend in-person
  • The ability to host hybrid meetings will vary based on participation, function and tech availability.
  • Community rooms not reservable by the general public until early 2022, with exception of the Police Community Room for specific uses
  • Mask guidance for employees and member of public inside city facilities will align with current State and County mask requirements
