Updated 4/6: Community Survey Underway

Survey

As Bothell grows and changes, it is important for City Council and staff to solicit feedback from the community and consistently incorporate this input into all decision-making processes. Specifically, this year City Council will approve the 2023-2024 biennial budget. To prepare for this process, City Council will conduct a retreat to determine priorities for 2023-2024, which will then inform budget development and guide staff work plans.

To help inform this process, the City of Bothell is currently conducting a statistically valid community survey with the help of independent researchers. Community members can let us know how we are doing, what they believe is the top issue facing our community right now, and which services they would like to prioritize. They will also weigh in on several large categories of potential city priorities, helping decision-makers bettter understand their needs and wishes.

In the first phase, many households were directly contacted.  Homes received mailed postcards with a link to complete the survey on-line, phone calls, and emails. If you have already been contacted, please use the unique, one-time Survey ID to complete the survey.  In order for the results to be representative of our entire community, researchers need to ensure the sample size and respondents meet several requirements.

If your household was not directly contacted, you can still weigh in!  Just go to www.bothellwa.gov/budgetsurvey.  Each household should complete the survey only once. Survey results are scheduled to be presented to City Council in their April 19th City Council meeting.  Questions?  Email communications@bothellwa.gov.
