[ARCHIVED] Welcoming Kwan Wong

Kwan Wong

The City of Bothell welcomes Kwan Wong as its new Finance Director.

Kwan’s role as the Finance Director is to provide strategic and visionary leadership to the City and serve as the Chief Financial Officer. A key member of our Executive Leadership Team, the Finance Director advises the City Manager and City Council and provides high-level, consistent, and transparent reporting with the goal of maintaining a strong financial position and safeguarding the City’s assets.

“It is an honor to serve as the City of Bothell’s Finance Director. I am excited to be part of a team to support and sustain the growth of a city while preserving what we love about Bothell. As a servant leader, I plan to spend my time to listen, learn, and then lead,” shares Kwan.

Kwan has over 20 years of experience in delivering scalable financial solutions through performance tracking, forecasting, reporting, technical integration and business case development. He most recently served as the Director of Finance and Administrative Services for Seattle Municipal Court, where he oversaw a team of 220 employees and managed a $43 million budget. Before that, Kwan was the Chief Financial Officer/Acting Chief Operating Officer for the Workforce Development Council based out of Seattle.

“Kwan is a strong problem-solver with extensive experience in the public and non-profit sector, with a proven track record of strong and collaborative leadership,” Kyle Stannert, City Manager shares.  “As Bothell grows and changes, Kwan’s leadership will help position our city for future growth and financial stability.”

Welcome to the Bothell community!
