The Bothell Arts Commission hosts regional visual artists in the gallery space on the first floor at Bothell City Hall. And the newest exhibition on display is of Caryn Vainio's artwork -- abstract mixed media landscapes.
A resident of Issaquah, WA, Caryn Vainio gains her inspiration living near the foothills of the Cascade Mountains. A mixed media painter and printmaker, Vainio's attraction to shapes and forms found in nature are imagined through the countless hours spent alone in the forest as a child. "As a child, I was in the forests, and so the forests are in me."
Vainio was selected after a call was administered by the Bothell Arts Commission inviting regional artists for consideration to showcase their work in the gallery space at Bothell City Hall. The gallery space is free and open to the public on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8am to 5pm; and open by appointment only on Mondays and Fridays.
