The City of Bothell is thrilled to introduce Anand Manthripragada as our Human Services Coordinator.
In this new city role, Anand will work closely with regional partners, nonprofit organizations, and community-based groups to anticipate and address essential community needs such as access to food and housing, financial assistance, mental health services, and programs for seniors.
Prior to joining Bothell, Anand worked for the Washington State Department of Veterans Affairs where he helped pilot the agency’s Suicide Prevention Program.
Before that, Anand served as a Financial Analyst and is well-versed in program design, grant administration, community engagement, budgeting, and financial analysis.
Anand has a passion for creating programs that meet the needs of community members and is eager to make a positive impact here in Bothell.
“Coming from India and Nigeria, we always looked to the West and thought, that is where people prosper. After living here, I’ve come to realize that there are still many different pockets of inequity,” Anand shares. “I hope to elevate the voices of those who are struggling and to help bring poverty levels down.”
Inspired by Dr. Martin Luther King’s vision for a beloved community, the City aims to ensure that everyone in Bothell immediately experiences a sense of safety, belongingness, and belovedness. This position was recently prioritized by City Council to help formalize a Human Services Program for Bothell.
