Since January 1, the Bothell Police Community Crime Reduction Team (CCRT) has recovered or assisted in recovering more than $600,000 dollars in stolen property through multiple investigations.
In a March 2024 case, the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office asked the Bothell Police CCRT for assistance following a string of theft cases, in a case that eventually spanned multiple cities.
The prime suspect in the Chelan County case had previously been arrested by Bothell Police, following an extensive investigation. However, the man had since been released from jail.
Through search warrants and a multi-agency effort, which also included the Bellevue Police Department and Kirkland Police Department, along with Bothell Police CCRT – more than $200,000 dollars worth of stolen property was recovered.
Officers searched an apartment unit in Bellevue, which was linked to the suspect. Also recovered were two stolen firearms, one sawed-off shotgun, one pipe bomb, and quantities of illegal drugs including fentanyl and methamphetamine.
The suspect was arrested and transported to Chelan County where he was booked on multiple felony counts.
Bothell Police is proud of the dedicated work of the officers who serve the department and community through their work as members of the Community Crime Reduction Team. We are also proud of their partnership and collaboration with other law enforcement agencies, which is making a difference for crime victims in many communities, including Bothell.
