The City ihas installed Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFBs) alongside existing crosswalk flags to enhance pedestrian safety at the intersection of NE 185th St and 101st Ave NE near City Hall and the Police Station in downtown Bothell.
The intersection is now a 2-way stop as a part of Sound Transit's Stride S3 Line Project. Traffic on 101st Ave NE now has stop signs, but traffic on NE 185th St is open to through traffic. Vehicles are always required to stop for pedestrians in the crosswalks.
NE 185th St has been designated as a transit corridor and starting in 2026, Sound Transit will start STRIDE Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) service along this corridor connecting Bothell to the Shoreline South/148th light rail station.
Please use caution in this area as vehicles and pedestrians get used to the new traffic revision.
