On Thursday, April 24 Bothell Police arrested 44 year old Philip Dean on one felony count of sexual misconduct with a minor in the first degree, and one felony count of communication with a minor for immoral purposes. Officers transported Dean to the King County Jail.
Dean is an educator and band instructor at Bothell High School, where he has worked for several years. The crimes took place in 2015 and 2016, when the victim was a student at the school. She is fully cooperating with our detectives in this active investigation.
At this time, there’s no indication of any other victims. However, it is a possibility, and we are concerned.
