Summer 2017 Art Show Application

  1. CALLING ALL ARTISTS!

    The Arts & Festivals Commission is calling all Bothell artists to apply to be part of their list of local artists. This information will be used by the City of Bothell and the Arts & Festivals Commission to keep artists abreast of local opportunities to utilize their talents for education, demonstration, networking and participation.

  2. MUSIC IN THE PARK ART SHOWS

    The 2017 Music in the Park art shows are presented by the Arts & Festivals Commission, in partnership with Bothell Parks & Recreation. These art shows feature original visual artwork by area artists. Included works of art: photographs, paintings, mixed media, drawings, prints, collage, sculpture, glass, wood, clay. Each show will be limited to 6 artists. Artists will be selected by the Bothell Arts & Festivals Commission. Artists will be selected for the following dates: 8/4, 8/11, 8/18 and 8/25.

  3. GUIDELINES

    Artists 18 years or older are welcome. Preference will be given to artists who live or work in Bothell. Artists will receive information about Calls to Artists, Festivals, Events, Shows, Exhibits and other opportunities for local participation.

  4. CATEGORIES

    Visual: Photography, 2D artwork, 3D artwork

  5. DEADLINE

    All applications must be submitted by July 25, 2017.

  6. REGISTRATION FEE

    Non-refundable entry fee: $15 for 1 artwork, $25 for 2. Limit 2 entries per person, per category (photography, 2D artwork, 3D artwork). Entry fee must be paid at time of registration. Please call Bothell Parks & Recreation at (425) 806-6760 after submission to make a payment. Registration does not guarantee selection of the artist for the events listed.

    Check this box if you'd like to be added to the Bothell Arts & Festivals Commission mailing list, and be kept in the loop about future events and opportunities.

  9. ELIGIBILITY

    Requirements for artists include: 1. Work must be handmade. No commercially produced work, kits or imported goods. 2. All work must be original and created by or under direction of the artist(s). 3. Artist(s) must attend the entire Festival/event. 4. Items must match type and quality submitted for jurying. No work by non-juried artists.

  10. SHOW PARTICIPATION FEE

    Once selected, the artist will pay a fee of $30.00 to participate in the assigned show.

  11. LOCATION

    Music in the Park is held at North Creek Field #3, located at 11905 North Creek Pkwy S. All shows are on Friday nights and run from 6:30-8:00pm.

  12. SETUP/TAKE DOWN SPECIFICATIONS

    Artists are required to provide and setup their own tent (no greater than 10x10), table, chairs and display. Setup time will be from 4-5pm. Take down cannot take place until after 8pm. Artists must clear all items and exit North Creek Field by 9:30pm. All booths must withstand Northwest weather conditions, with canopies weighted or staked against wind. In addition to booth fee, a Bothell business license may be needed. Artist is fully responsible for their own sales.

  13. HOLD HARMLESS CLAUSE

    I, the undersigned, assume all risks and hazards incidental to participating in the activity and do hereby waive, release, absolve, indemnify and agree to hold harmless the City of Bothell, their supervisors, participants and instructors for any claim arising out of any injury to myself. I am fully aware of the potential dangers and risks inherent in this activity, including physical injury, death or other consequences that may arise or result directly or indirectly from participation in this activity. PHOTO/VIDEO RELEASE: I grant full permission to use any photographs, videotapes, motion pictures, recordings or any other record of this program or promotion for the Bothell Parks and Recreation Department.

  14. PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT

    By submitting this form, I agree that: 1. All of the items for sale at my booth are handmade by myself as the artist or under my direction. There are no commercially produced works, art assembled form kits, or imported art at my booth. 2. I will be present at my booth during the day of the assigned concert, and my booth will be open from 5-8pm. 3. No music may be played at my booth during concert hours. 4. There is NO smoking at the booth or on the concert grounds. 5. The Bothell Arts & Festivals Commission or Bothell Parks & Recreation does not provide tents, chairs, or tables.
